Ashish Agrawal steps down from Groww's board
Ashish Agrawal has resigned as Nominee Director of Billionbrains Garage Ventures Limited. His resignation is effective April 20, 2026. Agrawal plans to launch his own venture capital firm. He expressed gratitude for his seven-year association with Groww. The company acknowledged his contributions. "I hereby tender my resignation as Nominee Director on the Board of Billionbrains Garage Ventures Limited (BGV), including all committees thereof, with effect from April 20, 2026. I have decided to be an entrepreneur myself and would be starting a new venture capital firm," Ashish Agrawal said in his resignation letter.
He added, "The association with Groww over the last 7 years has been a highlight of my professional career. It's been incredibly fulfilling to see the company evolve from a young startup to a publicly traded company, and I am glad to have played a small part in the journey."
Advt The company said the board took note of Agrawal’s resignation letter dated April 20, following which he ceased to be a member of the corporate social responsibility committee and the stakeholder relationship committee.
The filing did not cite any specific reasons for his resignation. The board placed on record its appreciation for Agrawal’s contribution and guidance during his tenure as a nominee director, the company said in the exchange disclosure.
Agrawal has been closely associated with Groww since its early days, having led the Series A investment while at Peak XV Partners.
