Clean Max Enviro receives INR 6.7 cr tax notice from IT department

The income-tax demand has been raised on account of certain additions and disallowance of certain expenditures under various sections of the IT Act.

Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions has received an assessment order worth INR 6,77,99,430 from Income Tax Department for AY 2023-24, the company disclosed in an exchange filing.

“We hereby inform you that the Company has received an Assessment Order from the Assessment Unit of Income Tax Department in connection with the Assessment Year 2023-24,” noted Clean Max.

The income-tax demand has been raised on account of certain additions and disallowance of certain expenditures under various sections of the IT Act.

The order was passed under Section 143(3) read with section 144C(3) read with section 144B of the Income-tax Act, 1961.

Advt “The Company is in the process of filing appeal against the assessment order and is of the opinion that it has a strong case on merits and confident of succeeding in getting these demands quashed at the appellate level,” said Clean Max Enviro.

Clean Max Enviro revealed there is no material impact on financials, operations or other activities of the company.
